Ninth IMF-WBG-WTO Trade Conference
October 24-25, 2023
The IMF/WB/WTO Trade Research Conference is an annual event that brings together experts on trade from the three institutions to share and disseminate their latest research findings. This year the event will be opened by Gita Gopinath, First Deputy Managing Director of the IMF, and will feature a keynote speech by Doug Irwin, the John French Professor of Economics at Dartmouth College. It will include sessions on geopolitical tensions, carbon pricing, services, trade patterns, development, and climate change, as well as a policy panel with chief economists from each institution on Industrial Policy and the Role of International Organizations.
