    Course Description

    The workshop takes place in the context of the peer-review monitoring and surveillance of the SADC Macroeconomic Convergence (MEC) program

    Course Objectives

    The workshop is a collaborative effort by the IMF Resident Representative's office, the South African Reserve Bank (SARB) and the SADC Secretariat. The goal is to discuss the IMF approach to surveillance during the review meetings, with a focus on a special topic every year. Participants learn about the main tools and analytical frameworks used by IMF economists to do surveillance.
