Akito Matsumoto is a Senior Economist in the Research Department of the International Monetary Fund. Previously, he worked at the Board of Governors, the Bank of England , Nomura Securities, and Nomura Research Institute. He was a Chartered Member of the Securities Analysts Association of Japan. His current research interests include commodities markets, open economy macroeconomics, international finance and monetary economics.
