Building Resilience to Natural Disasters and Climate Change

Workshop & High-Level Pacific Islands Dialogue

April 4-7, 2017

Co-hosted by the IMF and the Government of Fiji, with funding support from the Asian Development Bank (AsDB), the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), and the IMF.

The purpose of the workshop and dialogue is to strengthen macroeconomic policies in addressing climate-change challenges through policy discussion and capacity building. It also facilitates engagement between the IMF, other development partners, and Pacific island country officials on topical macroeconomic issues in the region beyond the regular cycle of IMF surveillance missions, Annual and Spring Meetings, and technical assistance missions.
