Welcome to a two-day social dialogue, co-sponsored by Government of Zambia, the IMF, and ILO, entitled "Towards a New Growth Strategy for Employment, Decent Work and Development in Zambia".

The conference took place in the New Government Complex, Lusaka, Zambia, Monday-Tuesday, May 21-22, 2012. This meeting of trade unions, officials, employers and international experts aims to enhance the dialogue aimed at building consensus on economic policies targeted at strengthening economic growth, increasing labor productivity and improving the labor market institutions in Zambia. The event brought together about 50 participants, including senior policymakers, other officials, trade unions, business leaders and civil society organizations.
