Mr. Theo Bikoi is a Senior Economist in the IMF’s Balance of Payments Division (STABP). He joined the IMF’s Statistics Department (STA) in March 2004 from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Before joining STABP, he worked as an economist in STA’s Data Dissemination Division. He served as External Sector Statistics Advisor at the Technical Assistance Office for Lao P.D.R. and Myanmar (TAOLAM) in Bangkok, Thailand from March 2014 to September 2015. He has contributed on several divisional projects including JSA Project to improve External Sector Statistics in Francophone Africa, the Coordinated Direct Investment Survey, the Portfolio Investment Survey, the International Investment Position Project, and the Balance of Payments Statistics Yearbook, and the Special Purpose Entities Data Project. Mr. Bikoi holds master’s degrees in business administration and development banking.
