Civil Society Representatives

As in previous years, the IMF and World Bank Civil Society teams will host a Civil Society Policy Forum (CSPF) ahead of the official 2016 Spring Meetings April 15-17. The CSPF is a program of events to promote policy dialogue between Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), the IMF and the World Bank Group, their peers, and government delegations, on a wide range of topics. It will be held between April 11 and April 15, 2016.The schedule of sessions will be available by mid-March.

All CSO representatives interested in participating in the CSPF must obtain individual accreditation. This accreditation will also provide access to all the open events of the 2016 Spring Meetings.

The online registration system to accept applications for civil society registration will open on February 17, 2016 and will close on April 1, 2016. The registration process could take up to three weeks and no new registration requests will be accepted after this deadline, so CSO representatives are encouraged to apply early.

CSOs include non-governmental organizations, community groups, labor unions, indigenous peoples movements, faith-based organizations, professional associations, foundations, think tanks, charitable organizations, and other not-for-profit organizations. Representatives from the private sector, academia or governmental bodies must apply for accreditation through the “Guests” or other relevant registration category.

If you have any questions about the Spring Meetings and/or are interested in organizing a dialogue session within the Civil Society Policy Forum, please send an email to ngoliaison@imf.org (IMF) or civilsociety@worldbank.org (World Bank).
