Capital Markets Consultative Group (CMCG)

Last Updated: July 28, 2017

The Capital Markets Consultative Group (CMCG) was established in July 2000 by the IMF’s Managing Director to provide a forum for informal dialogue between participants in international capital markets and the IMF, represented by its management and members of its senior staff. The CMCG is chaired by the Managing Director and includes individuals from institutions that play important roles in international capital markets and financial flows, and that are broadly representative in terms of regions and sectors. It meets periodically to discuss matters of common interest and is part of the IMF’s broader effort at constructive engagement with the private sector.
