Special Guests

Special Guests are high level representatives from financial organizations and academic communities having significant operational relationships with the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund. Special Guests are invited to the Annual Meetings each year by Members of the Executive Boards and senior management of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund.

Accredited Special Guests will receive an electronic invitation to the Annual Meetings.

Visitors

Visitors are representatives from financial institutions, other commercial enterprises and private individuals who have interest in the operations and affairs of the World Bank Group and International Monetary Fund. All Visitors may apply for accreditation to attend the Annual Meetings by submitting registration request online.

All Visitor registration requests must be accredited, please allow at least two weeks for the registration request to be processed. To avoid delays all Visitors are strongly encouraged to complete online registration form no later than September 2, 2011.

Upon successful accreditation, Visitors will receive the registration confirmation letter. The registration confirmation letter will be required by US embassies and consulates for visa processing to attend the Annual Meetings.

Journalists

All working press must have Annual Meetings credentials to attend the meetings.

To be accredited, you must present one of the following:

  1. Valid press credentials issued by national governments or authorities;

    OR

  2. Clear evidence that you are on assignment from a specific news organization or publication. This applies to all freelancers, including photographers. A valid assignment letter from that news organization, or publication, is required. Photographic agencies must provide clear evidence from a client news organization or publication.

If such credentials are not held, or are in question, it will be at the discretion of the IMF and World Bank to determine whether access to the Annual Meetings is granted.

Civil Society Representatives

The 2011 International Monetary Fund and World Bank Annual Meetings will be held on September 23-25, 2011 in Washington D.C, USA. All CSO representatives interested in participating in the Annual Meetings must obtain individual accreditation. Representatives are encouraged to apply for accreditation via an online application, which will open on Monday, July 25 and close on Monday, September 12, 2011. Those interested will be able to apply online for accreditation here beginning July 25.
