Marina Rousset is an economist in the Western Hemisphere Department of the International Monetary Fund. Her recent research focuses on economic growth, social and structural issues, and fintech development in Latin America. She is currently serving as a desk economist for Panama, having previously worked on the Dominican Republic and Haiti. Prior to joining the Western Hemisphere Department, Ms. Rousset held a position in the IMF’s Research Department, working on multilateral surveillance and commodity issues. She earned a Master’s degree in economics at American University.
