Roberto Piazza is a Senior Economist in the Fiscal Affairs Department of the IMF where he works in the Fiscal Policy and Surveillance Division. Prior to that, he worked in the Research Department of the IMF, and at the Bank of Italy. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Minnesota. His research interests include growth theory, monetary policy, and international macroeconomics.
