Anca Paduraru

ANCA PADURARU is a financial sector expert in the Payments, Currencies and Infrastructure Division in the Monetary and Capital Markets Department of the International Monetary Fund. She conducts analytical and policy work on Financial Market Infrastructures and provides technical assistance to countries on risk-based oversight and modernization of payment systems, the set-up of payment-related regulatory frameworks, and the exploration of Central Bank Digital Currencies. Prior to joining the Fund, she worked at the European Central Bank, leading the oversight of some of the largest retail and large-value payment systems world-wide and developing regulation for the security of electronic payments in the European Union. Anca holds a master degree in international economy from the Instituto de Economía Internacional in Valencia, Spain.
