Olusegun Akanbi is an Economist in the IMF’s Fiscal Affairs Department. Prior to joining the IMF, he was a Professor of Economics at University of South Africa. Mr. Akanbi has professional experience in teaching, research and policy making. He has published in reputable academic journals and contributed to IFI programs and policies at the IMF. His research interest is focused on macroeconomics and fiscal policies. He holds a PhD in Economics from University of Pretoria.
