Jiro Honda

Jiro Honda is a deputy division chief in the IMF’s Fiscal Affairs Department. Joining the IMF in 2001, he has also worked in the Finance Department and the African Department, including as a mission chief for Lesotho, Namibia, and Eswatini. Prior to joining the IMF, he worked at the Bank of Japan, including as a representative in Hong Kong. His research interests include fiscal policy (expenditure policy, revenue mobilization, fiscal multiplier), economic development, financial sector​​, and governance & corruption.
