Francisco Arizala

Francisco Arizala is an Economist in the Strategy, Policy and Review Department of the IMF. He has contributed to publications on regional spillovers, capital flows, economic growth, fluctuations in commodity prices, and fiscal policy. Previously, he worked in the IMF’s African and Western Hemisphere Departments, and in the Research departments of the Inter-American Development Bank and the Latin American Reserves Fund where he focused on monetary policy, financial development, and debt sustainability. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Université Paris III Sorbonne Nouvelle, and Master degrees in Economics from University of Maryland and Universidad de los Andes.
