2012 Staff Reports for the G-20 Mutual Assessment Process (MAP)

About the 2012 MAP

At the request of the G-20, IMF staff has provided analyses and assessments of member’s economies, policies, and progress toward their commitments in a set of reports for the Mutual Assessment Process (MAP). These reports serve as inputs for the Action Plan agreed by G-20 Leaders at the Los Cabos Summit. The 2012 Staff Reports for the G-20 MAP consist of the following: (i) an Umbrella Report that provides an integrated summary of the component analyses and an upside scenario for G-20 collective action; (ii) an annex on Global Risk Analysis summarizing main risks to the global economy at the present juncture; (iii) an annex on Euro Area Imbalances providing a longer-term perspective on the evolution of imbalances and vulnerabilities within EMU; and (iv) an annex on Enhanced Accountability Assessments that evaluates members’ progress toward their policy commitments made since the Cannes Summit in 2011.
