Technical Assistance and Training
The IMF shares its expertise with member countries by providing technical assistance and training in a wide range of areas, such as banking supervision, monetary and exchange rate policy, public financial management, tax policy and administration, official statistics, and legal issues.
The objective is to help improve the design and implementation of members' economic policies, including by strengthening capacities and training officials in macroeconomic analysis and policies (see statement of policy).
