Saad Quayyum

Saad Quayyum is an Economist in the African Department at the International Monetary Fund. He previously worked in the Strategy, Policy and Review Department and the Middle East and Central Asia Department. He graduated with a Ph.D. in Economics from University of Wisconsin-Madison, and Bachelor of Arts from Dartmouth College. He has also worked at the Research Department of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. He has done research on international finance, remittances, foreign aid, trade, growth, diversification, and natural disasters. In addition, he has significant experience working with number of developing and emerging economies, and addressing fiscal, external, monetary and financial sector policy challenges.
