Robin Koepke

Robin Koepke is an economist in the IMF’s Strategy, Policy and Review Department. His work focuses on external sector policy issues such as external balance assessments, capital flow management, and exchange rate policies. He is also the deputy project leader for PortWatch , an innovative online platform for monitoring and simulating trade disruptions. Mr. Koepke previously served in the IMF’s Asia & Pacific Department and the Monetary & Capital Markets Department. Before joining the IMF in 2016, he spent six years at the Institute of International Finance (IIF), the global association of financial institutions, where he served in the Global Macroeconomic Analysis department. His research has been published in leading journals including the Journal of International Economics and the Journal of Economic Surveys. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Wuerzburg in Germany.
