RACHEL BRASIER is a research officer in the Commodities Unit in the Research Department of the International Monetary Fund. Her research interests include global energy security and the energy transition. She has several years of prior professional experience in energy economics as a research analyst in the energy group of the Research Department of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, and in economic development in Texas and Ukraine. She holds master's degrees in Economics from the University of Alabama and Geospatial Information Sciences (GIS) from the University of Texas at Dallas.
