Paula Arias is a research analyst in the IMF’s Strategy, Policy, and Review Department (SPR) Front Office. Before joining the IMF, she was a Senior Macroeconomic Analyst at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), where she focused on debt and external sustainability assessments for borrowing countries, and policy research on debt for Latin America and the Caribbean. She has also worked as an economic consultant for the private sector. She holds an MSc in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
