.Neil Meads is a Deputy Division Chief in the Multilateral Surveillance Division of the IMF’s Research Department. Previously, he has worked as a Senior Economist in the IMF’s Strategy Policy and Review Department and began his career at the Bank of England working on monetary policy. At the IMF he has worked on a range of issues related to the international monetary system, including SDRs, Fund engagement with the G-7 and G-20, and supported IMF work on Romania and Rwanda. His previous research has focused on housing, consumption, and monetary policy decision making. He holds an M.Sc. in Economics from the University
