Emilio Fernandez Corugedo

Emilio Fernandez-Corugedo is a senior economist at the IMF’s Western Hemisphere Department, currently covering Colombia. Prior to that he was an economist in the IMF’s Research Department where he contributed to the World Economic Outlook and maintained and used the Department’s large macro models. Prior to joining the IMF, he worked at the Bank of England and Banco de Mexico where he conducted research, built forecasting models and produced policy advice. His research interests and publications cover consumption, housing, general equilibrium modelling and time series econometrics. He holds a PhD from Bristol University in the UK.
