Catalina Margulis

Catalina Margulis is a consulting counsel in the IMF Legal Department’s Financial and Fiscal Law unit, seconded from the Central Bank of Chile. She focuses mainly on central banking and financial stability matters, providing legal advice to other IMF departments and members countries. Her experience includes assessments and technical advice on the legal structure, mandate, governance, and autonomy of central banks. Catalina has also been a speaker in several central banking seminars. She is a national from Chile, holds a Master of Law degree from Harvard Law School, a Diploma on Public Economic Law from Universidad de Chile, and a Law Degree from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
