Anna Ilyina is Assistant Director in the Strategy, Policy and Review Department (SPR) of the IMF. Previously, she headed the Global Markets Analysis Division in the Monetary and Capital Markets Department, responsible for monitoring and analysis of the global financial markets, and production of the IMF’s Global Financial Stability Report. She was also the Mission Chief for Poland and head of the Emerging Economies Division in the European Department. During her career at the IMF, she also worked on the IMF’s Vulnerability Exercise, and on a range of countries and policy issues. Her research interests include international finance, growth and financial development, macro-financial linkages, financial stability, and cross-border spillovers. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
