Adina Popescu

Adina Popescu is a Senior Economist in the IMF's Research Department. Previously, she has held assignments in the Strategy, Policy and Review Department, the Institute for Capacity Development, and the European Department, where she has been engaged on various program and surveillance policy issues. Before joining the IMF, Ms. Popescu worked for the European Central Bank, focusing on monetary policy research and implementation, and international policy analysis. She holds a PhD in Economics from the London Business School with a dissertation on optimal fiscal policy. Ms. Popescu's research interests are in the areas of DSGE modelling and Bayesian macroeconometrics, applied to questions in international economics, fiscal policy, monetary policy, macroprudential policies, and Fintech.
