Many Caribbean countries are dealing with the effects of recent natural disasters. Grenada suffered damage of 200 percent of GDP from Hurricane Ivan, prompting massive international support for its relief and reconstruction effort. Six months after the hurricane struck, how well has Grenada coped? What lessons does Grenada’s experience hold for other disaster-stricken countries in the Caribbean and elsewhere? These issues will be discussed by the following panelists:
